GZF to Host Heroes Day Public Meeting in Cape Town
GZF Cape Town chapter Committee held a successful meeting on Wednesday 7th July 2010 at 6pm

The meeting was attended by Daniel Molokele, Moreman Shoko, Daphne Gwangwadza, Shadreck Siziba and Deborah-Fay Ndlovu.

Those who who could not be able to attend were Dennis Chamisa, Clever Chikwanda and Tapiwa Tevera.

The meeting reviewed the period between the last Committee meeting in April until to date.

It was noted that the proposed Global Diaspora Conference that was due to be held in December 2010 was now likely to be moved to sometime in 2011

In the meantime, the GZF in Cape Town would continue organising various activities to keep the momentum going.

In the final analysis, the meeting agreed that there will the following two activities in the next two months

1. On 7th August 2010, the GZF will host a public meeting in Cape Town that will focus on the Heroes Day theme. The question to be discussed will be the possibility of new Zimbabwean heroes emerging from the diaspora to help take the country forward.

2. On 4th September 2010, the GZF will host a Family day social braai event for all Zimbabwean residents in Cape Town. More details will be released soon around the event
