The GZF Cape Town chapter has now hosted its first ever public meeting on Wednesday 24th February 2010.
Initially, the meeting was meant to be a panel discussion whose focus was on on the Diaspora participation in the current constitutional making process.
However, even though all the three panellists managed to avail themselves, it was resolved that they would give their presentations at the next meeting.
This was simply because of the low attendance of just ten participants.
The participants took the opportunity to introduce themselves to each other and also narrated some of their experiences as Zimbabwean immigrants in Cape Town.
The meeting then agreed to review the whole strategy around the hsoting of the next emeting including such aspects as the publicity, venue and day of the meetings.
The local GZF Cape Town Committee will meet next week to discuss the elssons learnt and the way forward.
