The Zimbabwe Diaspora Engagement Conference that was held in Cape Town between 3-4th December 2009 has been described by delegates as a fruitful success.
The conference was organised under the auspices of the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation. It was attended by about seventy delegates from across the Diaspora community.
The Global Zimbabwe Forum was represented by Daniel Molokele, Luke Zunga and Alex Magaisa.
The highlight of the conference was the keynote address by the Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai who graced the occasion.
The major outcome of the conference was the setting up of a Core Group consisting of various leading activists and opinion makers in the Diaspora.
The closing address of the conference was presented by the Deputy Prime Minister, Arthur Mutambara.
